Kevin has been passionate about photography since he was a child at school learning how to use a dark room, Kevin has had lots of different jobs like being a runner for a filming company in London, an assistant for other photographers, where he picked up a lot of tips, as well as doing a lot of work in the outdoors.  Kevin did photography at university and even though his lectures give nothing but harsh criticism and no praise it didn't stop him from doing what he loved,he said he used to go out and just spend the day going around London taking pictures of passersby without them being aware of his presence which he said was good practice, that year him and a friend from University decided to go to Paris with nothing but their cameras a little bit of money and a change of clothes, which is something I would love to do, making their way around France making money from doing odd jobs for people and taken some amazing pictures along the way.

Kevin uses a wide range of cameras from old to new all giving his pictures a different style and effect,, he now takes pictures mainly to do with product marketing to make his living, the pictures he takes of people's products can be from table where to jewelry and clothing all the way to oil rigs and interior, making it looks simple but as he explained how he achieved those pictures it was anything but simple, just to get the lighting and shadow in the right places, he needs to take over 10 photos using lots of different lights and then slowly add sections from each picture together to achieve the ideal photo and he can spend up to a week taken and editing photos of the same product over and over until he achieves what the customer asked for.

I enjoyed Kevin's presentation to us because it gave me an idea of how photographers achieve a living as well as being able just to see the photos and speak to the person that took them, and find out about what he thinks of when he take the pictures and the mind process behind it.
