Painting on Photos

Inspired by artists like Jake and Dinos Chapman, Wolfe Von Lenkiewicz and Asger Jorn,  I tried painting and drawing over the top of existing paintings and photos and change in the meanings behind them.

Jake and Dinos Chapman, did a piece called disasters of war the two brothers put the faces of clowns and other demon like faces on Goya’s original sketches, inspired by that I painted the face of a clown over the top of a picture of myself.

From the shower scene in the film psycho by Alfred Hitchcock, to a football fan.

A burning building.

I didn't mean to but I seem to have turn myself into the son of God.

Here's Johnny to here's Veronica.

My silhouette in the colours similar to the reflection on the wall.

To Pastures New (1882) by James Guthrie one of the Glasgow boys, In a sinister light.

I also tried digitally drawing over the top of photos I've taken using the app Paper 53.
