Woodland Photography
Over the Christmas break I went out to take pictures of the woods by my house.
I wanted to focus on the things that make it feel creepy and abandoned, as well as the general feel of the place. I looked at the things that people had left behind and thrown away, homing in on what parts interested me.
I liked the shape of the light fitting and that you could still see some of the shine of the old metal.
Most of the pictures were taken with a flash, apart from a few, but in this photo I tried to make the flash less powerful by covering it with my hand which give it a red look, which I was okay with.
These pictures would have looked better if I had had a light or a bigger flash.
I tried using a light to draw figures but the background was not dark enough to give a bold effect, it ended up just merging together.
