Timorous Beasties

I looked at Timorous Beasties last year as part of the Haining unit, I was looking at .  I’m looking at them as their prints relate well to what I am wanting to try and achieve, unlike our artists their work is more commercial and business based. 

What I like is that the work has a traditional sense in the way that the pattern is laid out, and  the colour choices but the subjects they cover are quite modern, small illustrations of modern urban scenes and the people that live there. the work to be seen as political as it covers certain class of people and  highlighting drug abuse. 

I personally really like their prints I think that they’re clever and intriguing, there’s always something to look at and it changes each time you see it. Overall I think they picture modern life very well, people like to pretend that everything is good and well but close up sinister and full of destruction
