Mike Dargas is a painter who promotes himself and his art through social media. He has a following of a third of a million people, he isn't an established artist so the purpose of his site is to promote his art and gain acclaim. He uses the site to advertise when and where his next show is. 

His bio contains the link to his portfolio. The layout is by themes, of portraits with liquids or material on their faces. Unlike a students portfolio, it is not showing his range of techniques but the work he creates. 

Once you've clicked onto the link, it takes you straight to his portfolio. He uses different sizes of images so that you can see about five or six images on your screen at once. Being able to see more than one image at a time gives you a better understanding of his style of work. His paintings are displayed in clusters so you'll have one big image surrounded by three or four little ones all to do with the same theme, it also means that the colour palette for those paintings are all the same.
